What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Engagement Specialist position at Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Facility?
Youth Engagement Specialist (Y.E.S. Employee) is a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) trained direct care worker counted in the resident/caregiver ratio, whose duties include direct care, supervision, engagement, guidance, and protection of a resident. This is achieved through the incorporation of TBRI principles: Connecting, Empowering and Correcting. This does not include a contract service provider who provides a specific type of service to the operation for a limited number of hours per week or month or works with one particular child. This may include staff such as administrative staff that has the required background clearances and appropriate training that may serve temporarily as Y.E.S. Employees. The Y.E.S. Employee is administratively responsible to the Unit Supervisor.
The Y.E.S. Employee shall be responsible for the daily care, supervision, and engagement of the residents under the care of the Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Facility.

Pay: $12.50 - $13.71 per hour
