Associate Attorney (Class Action)
We are seeking an experienced litigation associate for the firm’s class action practice group to join our San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in employment litigation, particularly in defending wage and hour class actions and PAGA. The candidate will handle class actions lawsuits throughout the life of the case with oversight and mentoring from partners. Duties include, but are not limited to, internal investigations, legal research, preparing discovery and taking / defending depositions, drafting motions and pleadings, and representing clients at court conferences, hearings, and trial. Must also have excellent writing and oral advocacy skills and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice. Must also be a self-starter who possesses strong organizational skills, is able to work with multiple clients and attorneys, and is ready to hit the ground running. This flexible opportunity would allow the attorney to occasionally work from home; candidates must reside in the vicinity of the San Francisco, California office location.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
- Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
- Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
Qualifications & Requirements
Compensation
Salary : $130,000 - $200,000
