Location: San Francisco, San Diego, & Los Angeles CA, US
Salary Range: $120,000 to $230,000 annually, depending on experience, plus generous benefits (discussed below)

We provide hybrid/work from home options, although candidates must reside in the general vicinity of LBBK’s San Diego, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, California offices.
Position Description: We are seeking employment litigation associates with all levels of experience. Associates will defend employer clients in single plaintiff employment litigation (in court and arbitration) and will investigate and respond to administrative charges. Some wage & hour experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Defending clients in a broad range of employment-related claims
- Investigating claims and defenses, analyzing liability and damages, and developing case handling strategies
- Conducting legal research and analysis
- Drafting letters, memos, motions, and pleadings
- Preparing discovery request/responses and taking/defending depositions
- Representing clients at court conferences, hearings, mediations, and trial/arbitration
- Regularly communicating with partners, associates, paralegals, clients, and opposing counsel
- 1850 billable hours
Skills & Requirements:
- Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
- Current California bar admission, in good standing
- 2 years of experience, employment law background strongly preferred
- Excellent writer with attention to detail
- Effective oral communication skills
- Must be a team player with exceptional personal interaction skills and responsiveness
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of current state and federal procedures
- Must be comfortable handling court appearances and have some experience participating in depositions and mediations
- Trial experience is preferred, but not required
