POSITION SUMMARY

The Cage Cashier performs all monetary transactions presented, adhering to all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations. Safeguards company assets, and prepares all necessary internal paperwork. Responsible to provide a level of service which is gracious, kind and warm that creates an Exciting environment and World Class Service by delivering Old-World Hospitality and Charm with our guests. Comply and follow with strict adherence to Internal Control Policies and Procedures, state regulations, Bank Securities Act, Title 31 Rules and Regulations, and the company’s Responsible Gaming Plan.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive.

• Responsible for performing verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions and check cashing.
• Processes jackpots check cashing, redeems valid gaming vouchers received from patrons for an equivalent amount of cash and redeems chips for cash. Other transactions types may occur.
• Safeguard company assets and adhere to all cage policies and procedures to include Responsible Gaming and Title 31.
• Maintain and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him / her on an assigned shift.
• Create teamwork by helping co-workers with essential function.
• Balance all money transactions and paperwork.
• Meet all attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to include strict adherence to attendance and appearance guidelines as well as confidentially regarding player information.
• Handle guest financial transactions.
• Be alert for fraud, forged / counterfeit currency and / or vouchers or chips.
• Balance all funds under his / her responsibility and prepare reconciliation reports accordingly.
• Ensure at all times that the cash inventory is well secured.
• Issue free slot play, up to authorized limit, and food coupons to guests.
• Conduct him / her in a gracious, kind and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as professional, courteous and responsive manner, which reflects positively on the company and its core values.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED. Banking and guest service experience preferred. Must have a friendly demeanor and be able to communicate well with the public. Must be able to work in an intense and fast paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform required job duties. Must demonstrate positive / enthusiastic approach to all assignments. Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position. Must be clean, well-groomed, and have a professional appearance. Must have an optimistic outlook, proven track record of leading, inspiring, success in service excellence, attention to quality details, great communication skills and know how to deliver excitement.
