Job Description

Lago Vista Animal Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Hospital Manager to join our thriving team! We are seeking servant leaders with proven success in people management, who share our growth mindset and drive to foster outstanding team culture. Success in this role will be defined by building strong relationships with our team and clients, as well as engaging in meaningful community outreach.

As Hospital Manager, you will partner with our Medical Director, collaborate with our doctors, and guide our support team. While this position is focused on people leadership and business management, the Hospital Manager should maintain a pulse on the day-to-day activities of the hospital and be ready to assist the team as the need arises.

Benefits and compensation :

Compensation package : $55,000-65,000 base salary (BOE)
Quarterly bonus potential
2,000 hiring bonus package for LVTs and CVPMs
CE allowance : $1,000 annual allocation for LVTs and CVPMs

Qualifications :

3 years of people management experience

Proven success in delivering employee evaluations, developing training programs, mediating conflict, and de-escalating clients in emotionally charged situations

Veterinary or healthcare experience preferred. CVPM a plus!

Experience managing the development and growth of teams

Demonstrates emotional intelligence and strong conflict management skills

Financial acumen and experience managing budgets such as revenue and payroll (preferred)

Self-directed and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities include :

Performance management

Overseeing training and development

Payroll, inventory and budget management

Complaint resolution

Ensuring that safety protocols are followed

Monitoring hospital flow

Client communication and education

Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings, noticing areas of need within the practice

Lago Vista Animal Clinic is a 4-doctor, AAHA-Accredited hospital with a longstanding history in our community and great team longevity (some team members have been here 30 years!) We primarily see small animals, and are well equipped to handle routine procedures, surgery, dentistry, grooming, and more. We’re a paperless clinic (AVImark) and have a large, 5400sqft facility complete with 2 surgery rooms, a dedicated digital xray room, separate surgery and dental suites, 4 exam rooms, a large treatment area and an entire 2nd floor upstairs for our staff.
