Description
The Group Events Employee is responsible for assisting company picnics, family reunions, and other group events with any needs that they may have during their scheduled day at Lagoon. Group Event Service Employees will perform a variety of tasks including cleaning group terraces and pavilions, hanging signs, moving items brought in by the group, distributing bingo and drawing barrels, papering tables, etc.
This position is seasonal. Seasonal employees perform their work at certain seasons and periods of the year. Their work, by its nature, is not continuous nor is it carried on throughout the year. A seasonal employee who is employed at the conclusion of the season will be terminated.
Requirements
- Able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours.
- Able to perform work duties outside in varying weather conditions prevalent at the time.
- Able to move heavy equipment which would include pushing, pulling, bending and lifting.
- Able to deal with guests in a friendly, but firm manner.
- Able to work effectively independently as well as in a group.
- Shift times will vary depending on the need of the department, however most shifts will be in the morning/afternoon.
