Job Description:
We are looking for a responsible and energetic lifeguards to join our team at Lagoonfest. As a Lifeguard, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests, while providing excellent customer service. You’ll monitor lagoon activities, enforce safety rules, and respond quickly to emergencies, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor beach areas and attractions to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Enforce lagoon/pool rules and safety regulations.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Maintain constant surveillance of the lagoon/pool area.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering any questions and addressing concerns.
- Keep detailed records of incidents, accidents, and any first aid administered.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in pool areas.
- Attend all required training sessions and safety drills.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations.
- Physical ability to perform rescues and assist swimmers as needed.
- Ability to tread water for 2 minutes without the use of hands.
- Ability to swim 200 yards non-stop.
- Ability to submerge to 10 feet and retrieve a submerged object.
- Must be at least 16 years of age (as required by Ellis).
