Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with the head attorney and assist in all phases of the litigation process. You will conduct legal research and interviews, file documents, and respond to discovery. The ideal candidate is hardworking and detail-oriented. This is a top-notch boutique litigation firm that handles all types of injury, medical malpractice, wrongful termination, discrimination, and business litigation cases.
Responsibilities
- Prepare case-specific documents, including memoranda and briefs
- Ensure that case-related documents are organized and available for review
- Conduct legal research and investigation
- Communicate with clients and witnesses
- Maintain and update documentation
- Assist with discovery requests
- Calendar all deadlines, dates, and other events
- Respond to discovery and work closely with clients to do so
- Draft and serve discovery requests
- Schedule and coordinate depositions
- Draft legal documents
- Investigate facts
- Be on top of and closely manage all litigation files
- Overall support to Attorney
Qualifications
- 5 years of Previous experience as a personal injury Litigation Paralegal or similar role is preferred
- Certification or Associate Degree as a Paralegal is preferred
- Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with document management experience
- Excellent research skills
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and case management software
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Thoroughness, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Able to successfully deal with a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in Spanish -- both written and spoken -- is a huge plus
- Independent, resourceful, and a problem-solver
Salary : $85,000 - $115,000
