Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with expertise in finishing work that enhances the aesthetic and functional qualities of residential and commercial spaces. Duties
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute carpentry projects accurately.
- Fabricate and install custom cabinetry, moldings, trim, and other finish elements to enhance interior spaces.
- Perform flooring installation, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Execute caulking and sealing tasks to ensure proper finishes and prevent moisture intrusion.
- Conduct mold remediation as necessary to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Lift heavy materials as required for project completion, demonstrating physical stamina and strength.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless integration of all elements within the project scope.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a focus on finishing work is essential.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics are required.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is necessary.
- Experience with flooring installation techniques is preferred.
- Knowledge of mold remediation processes is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
