Summary
As a Material Handler at LAI, you will be an integral part of our logistics team, responsible for the efficient handling of materials within our warehouse operations. This role is vital to ensuring that our clients' needs are met promptly and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and clamp trucks to move products within the warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling products according to specifications.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in materials handling or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and cranes safely.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse safety protocols is essential.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is a plus but not required.
