Position Summary

Our customer is seeking an SAP Testing and Quality Assurance Analyst to assist in the execution and management of testing activities for our SAP application. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of SAP ERP functionalities, experience in troubleshooting defects, solid understanding of software testing principles, experience with application testing processes, and familiarity with the testing tools Azure DevOps and WorkSoft. This individual will be responsible for supporting the testing efforts across Parker’s SAP application, ensuring test scripts meet business requirements, and executing defect management within Azure DevOps Test Plan feature.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist in the execution of application testing within the SAP ERP environment, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.

* Collaborate with the SAP testing team/business process team to define and document test cases, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives. Any new test cases that need to be created, needs to be tracked.

* Troubleshoot defects identified during testing, assigning severity and priority levels based on impact and urgency. This would require some base knowledge of SAP functionality.

* Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and defect logs.

* Execute defect management processes within Azure DevOps Test Plan, including logging defects, tracking their status, and ensuring timely resolution.

* Communicate effectively with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to report on testing progress and issues.

* Participate in the analysis of test results and assist in troubleshooting test execution, providing feedback to improve application quality.

* Help train users on testing tools Azure DevOps and WorkSoft and the Parker SAP testing methodologies, facilitating knowledge transfer within the SAP test team.

* Monitor and track testing metrics

* Assist in running test automation within WorkSoft to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

* Work with the business process team to identify scenarios, develop test automation scripts, and track coverage for scripts developed in WorkSoft

* Work with the business process leads to identify the scope of each testing phase and the development of the test scripts required to cover that scope

* Work with the business process leads to identify the end to end scenarios and the data requirements associated with the scenarios

* Ability to create and execute reports within Azure DevOps to track test execution progress and defect resolution

* Communicate with the division and the business process leads clear priority on defects

* Knowledge of SAP functionality to provide an initial triage and review of the defect to ensure proper priority and severity is assigned

* Ability to set up and execute WorkSoft test automation, create status reports and communicate results of the test automation runs, and create defects where exceptions occurred

Job Qualifications:

* 4-year University/College Degree or equivalent experience.

* 3-5 years of relevant experience in software testing or quality assurance.

* Familiarity with testing methodologies and best practices, including experience with manual testing.

* Basic knowledge of the test management tool Azure DevOps and the features included in the Test Plans function

* Experience with SAP ERP functionality in the manufacturing industry

* Experience with automated testing tools WorkSoft is a plus

* Understanding of application development processes and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

* Familiarity with SAP applications and testing processes

* Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
