Dance Instructor

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dance and a genuine love for teaching children. This role involves creating a positive learning environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their dance skills. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for planning engaging lessons, fostering student growth, and ensuring the overall well-being of each participant.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging dance curricula that cater to various age groups and skill levels.
• Conduct dance classes that focus on technique, creativity, and self-expression.
• Create lesson plans that incorporate elements of theater and childhood development to enhance learning experiences.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and confidence.
• Organize performances and recitals to showcase students' progress and achievements.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
• Collaborate with other instructors to develop interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of culinary arts or tutoring as applicable.
• Engage with parents regarding their child's progress and any areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dance instruction, preferably with children or in a classroom setting.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively engage young learners.
• Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Experience in related fields such as theater, childcare, or culinary arts is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• A creative mindset with the ability to adapt lessons based on student needs and interests.
• A passion for dance and education, with a commitment to fostering a love for the arts in students.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.83 - $22.47 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
