Specifically, the Puppet Production Intern will be responsible for providing administrative and production assistance to the Puppet Production Supervisor, Sr Puppet Coordinator and others on the puppet fabrication production team.
Job Functions
- Document, format, collate, print, and distribute production documentation including launches, breakdowns, and build packets by coordinating with HODs and the puppet maintenance team.
- Maintain character lineups in Photoshop, ensuring they are up to date, ordering and distributing prints, and updating on ShotGrid/Flow.
- Photograph, catalogue, update, and maintain in-house production imagery and playlists for department and production access and director reviews.
- Record and distribute notes, schedules, or any other necessary information within department.
- Handle administrative tasks such as shipping, organizing, maintaining files, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Assist in monitoring special projects, tracking interdepartmental handoffs and asset completion.
- Coordinate daily with Puppet Production Management in preparing for design and director reviews.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as recording department outages, time off requests, updating mailing lists, and submitting reimbursement forms.
- Assist the Sr Puppet Coordinator in supporting the Puppet department.
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in college or graduated within the last 12 months, with a focus in Fine Arts, Film, or other relevant area of study.
- Detail oriented with ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work as a team member.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
- Familiarity with Adobe Design Software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Knowledge of ShotGrid/Flow software, a plus.
