Job Title: PreK Assistant Teacher
Lake Area Discovery Center is a Christian-based, NAEYC-accredited, non-profit early childhood program partnering with churches and schools to provide high-quality care and education for young children.
We are seeking a qualified PreK Assistant Teacher to join our team at the Lake Area Discovery Center located at Notre Dame Academy in Minnetonka, MN. The position is year-round, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the PreK Teaching Team Lead Teachers, Assistants, and the After-School Care Team from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
- Support the delivery of engaging, developmentally appropriate programs for preschool-age children.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field ( Associates degree or higher).
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation:
$17.00-$20.00/hour, dependent on education, experience, and DHS Licensing qualifications.
