What does a Procurement Manager do?
As the Procurement Manager for Lake Assault Boats and Fraser Shipyards New Construction, you will lead the charge in sourcing essential products and services that drive our operations. You will proactively manage a range of commodities, forging strategic relationships with top-tier suppliers to enhance procurement and logistics. Your focus will be on optimizing costs and spearheading innovative solutions while ensuring adherence to our procurement policies and conducting the procurement process yourself. Collaborate closely with production and project management teams to align purchasing strategies for maximum value in terms of quality, pricing, and timely delivery.
Your role also includes overseeing warehouse processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and implementing compliance with regulatory standards. By training and motivating your team, you will ensure operational excellence and transparency. What you need to be successful

The physical requirements for the position are :
The position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Able to work in a manufacturing environment which includes moderate noise exposure, occasionally climbing up steep stairs / steps, walking for moderate periods of time over even and uneven terrain, reaching forward, overhead, and to the sides, etc. Listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Able to move / lift / pull / push 50 lbs. You may be required to wear a respirator at times.
