What's your day like?
As a Welder/Fabricator at Lake Assault Boats, you'll play a pivotal role in manufacturing aluminum boats tailored to our diverse clientele. Your expertise will be essential as you analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to meticulously plan layout and assembly operations. Utilizing your MIG and TIG welding skills, you'll produce high-quality welds in various positions, ensuring every component meets regulatory specifications and safety standards.
Your responsibilities will extend to operating safety equipment and a variety of power-assisted tools, while maintaining a keen focus on quality and accuracy in your work. In addition to welding, you'll assist in the preparation, loading, and unloading of high-speed watercraft, adapting to variable weather conditions. What you need to be successful
To thrive as a Welder/Fabricator at Lake Assault Boats, a robust skill set in welding, fabrication, and fitting is essential. Candidates should possess knowledge and expertise in aluminum welding, alongside familiarity with standard build practices in manufacturing environments. The ability to follow directions and procedures with limited supervision while conducting basic problem-solving under guidance is crucial. Additionally, a Weld Certificate or technical education is preferred, and candidates must pass a qualification test.
Physical requirements for the position are: Position requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to work in tight spaces. Use of manufacturing equipment. Work in areas at times that are not environmentally controlled. Able to move/lift/pull/push 50 lbs. Ability to get underway with high speed watercraft in variable weather conditions.
