Lake Behavioral Hospital is looking for a Utilization Management Director that will oversees the Utilization Management Program. The ideal candidate will manage case management scenarios, consult with all services to ensure the provision of an effective treatment plan for all patients, oversees the response to request for services and interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, and other payors.
- Supervising and supporting performance improvement activities on a daily basis and assure that action is taken as needed and as authorized by organization policies and procedures.
- Receiving and reviewing department/service performance measures and documentation to evaluate performance improvement activities and coordinate reports of findings to the PI Committee, Medical Executive Committee and Board.
- Maintain records of the performance improvement performance measures and statistical tools used to describe studies performed or methodology.
- Advise and assist all departments/services and committees accountable for performance improvement activities.
- Maintain a record of all completed reviews, evaluations and process improvement team activities.
- Review incident reports, patient/physician surveys and patient complaints to determine the presence or absence of patterns and/or trends or opportunities for improvement in patient care outcomes, as well as the appropriateness of corrective action.
- Attend and participate in appropriate committee and department or service meetings representing the entire Utilization Management Department.
- Share data and information and leads the Utilization Management Committee and attends other appropriate committees, as appropriate.
Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:
- Education: Degree in nursing, social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health treatment setting, including one year of managing a related function preferred. Experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
- Licensure: R.N., L. S.W. or applicable Illinois license preferred.
- Additional Requirements: A thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and OSHA regulations and all other state and federal regulatory standards is preferred.

Compensation:
This is a full-time position and the expected compensation is $80,000 - $90,000 annually. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be given to experience and skill level. Join us as our Utilization Management Director!
