What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Lake Behavioral Hospital?
Role Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Lake Behavioral Hospital. As an LPN, you will provide nursing care in accordance with the nursing process and our standards of care and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document patient information and changes in patient condition
- alert the RN of changes needing reassessment
- Administer medication to patients
- Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies
- Orient patients to treatment programs and monitor activity, encouraging participation
Your Experience Matters:
We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited LPN program with an active license to practice in Illinois
- A minimum of one (1) year as an LPN in psychiatric nursing is preferred, with six (6) months of experience in the specialized areas of psychiatry, but not required
