What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ground Maintenance Worker position at Lake Breeze Ski Lodge?
Job Type: Business Hours are Part-Time (March, April, May, September, October - Weekends Only: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, with some opportunity for Monday & Thursday work on select weeks) & Full-Time (June, July, August - 7 Days a Week). There is also opportunity for this position to be a Full-Time, Year-Round position.
About Us:
Lake Breeze Ski Lodge is a premier seasonal restaurant and lodge known for its beautiful lakeside views and excellent hospitality. We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Maintenance worker to help keep our property in top shape. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of buildings and facilities.
- Ensure all equipment and property structures are in safe, working order.
- Spray off patios in the morning before opening.
- Mop floors and ensure common areas are clean.
- Perform basic pool maintenance, including skimming, cleaning filters, and ensuring proper chemical balance.
- Pick up trash around the property and keep the grounds tidy.
- Weed flowerbeds and maintain landscaping appearance.
- Clean and sanitize trash cans.
- Occasionally clean up spills, unclog toilets, and handle minor plumbing issues.
- Assist with random tasks and upkeep duties during restaurant hours as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and report any maintenance concerns promptly.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
- Willingness to work early mornings and weekends.
- Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
- Living nearby is a plus, as is availability for on-call work, though neither is required.
