What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Crew Member - Line/Prep position at Lake Breeze Ski Lodge?
Job Type: Part-Time (March, April, May, September, October - Weekends Only: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, with some opportunity for Monday & Thursday work on select weeks) & Full-Time (June, July, August - 7 Days a Week). There is also some opportunity for working private events in the off-season months.
About Us:
Lake Breeze Ski Lodge is a premier seasonal restaurant and lodge known for its beautiful lakeside views and excellent hospitality. We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Line/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to gain valuable kitchen experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of menu items, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
- Work in various kitchen stations as needed, including the salad line, burger line, and fryer station.
- Ensure food is cooked and presented according to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with kitchen cleanup, including dishwashing and trash removal when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in restocking ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required – we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
