Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, swing bed program, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. We are seeking an knowledgeable and experienced HR Assistant to join our team!
Job Summary:
The HR Assistant is involved in all aspects of the HR Department, including payroll, recruiting, onboarding, employee education, employee recognition, and more! Under the direction of the Chief Support Services Officer, this position supports the HR Department by working on strategic initiatives as well as day-to-day operations for all employees of Lake Butler Hospital. This position requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and compassion.
Requirements
Education: Associates Degree in Human Resources/Business required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Experience: 3-4 years HR experience required. Experience with new employee onboarding, maintenance of employment records. Proficient with Microsoft products to include word, excel, power point and access.
Skills: Excellent computer skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills a must. Multi-tasking skills.
Knowledge: Knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
Abilities: Ability to type 45 wpm accurately. Ability to complete tasks while maintaining all confidentiality requirements. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Must be able to gather and analyze information. Must be highly organized and ability to prioritize. Handle stressful situations. Ability to operate a computer and associated peripheral equipment.
