Job Description
· Fully trained in all Coast Guard drills, including but not limited too; Man Overboard, Fire Drills, Fixed HALON CO2 systems, and Abandon Ship Drills.
· Able to understand all Station Bills and able to report appropriately in emergencies.
· Full understanding of the proper way to load the vehicles onto the vessel for all weather conditions.
· Collect tickets from all customers boarding the vessel and check for proper number of people in the vehicle. Be aware of vehicles handling hazardous materials: process necessary paper work for such vehicles.
· Proper record keeping of the traffic and passenger count after each trip.
· Patrol vessel during shift, watch for unsafe objects, smoking violations, passengers acting inappropriately, fire, etc. Note that vessel gear is in place, report to Captain any missing equipment or equipment needing repair.
· Maintain a high level of cleanliness of the vessel. This is to ensure safety of all crew and passengers when aboard. These duties include mopping of the bathroom and lounges. Shoveling snow and putting down salt and sand when needed.
· Hold a valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker’s Identity Credential). Must take all necessary security trainings with the Operation Manager.
Qualifications
Outgoing person willing to serve the public in a safe and courteous manner. Must be a team player and willing to take advice from other crew members. Must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts as we are a 24-hour business. Highschool diploma required and 18 years of age. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
