We are looking for a passionate and creative individual to join our team as the Communications Director!

Position Overview:
The Communications Director will be responsible for overseeing all communication strategies for Lake Church and its ministries. This includes website development and management, social media management across various platforms, graphic design, email communications, and other digital content. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, creative, and strategic thinker with a heart for ministry and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Management:
• Oversee and maintain the church website, ensuring content is up-to-date, relevant, and engaging.
• Manage website updates, including event details, sermon resources, blog posts, and general church information.
• Social Media & Digital Engagement:
• Develop and implement a social media strategy to engage the congregation and the community across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
• Create and schedule engaging posts, graphics, and videos to highlight church activities, events, and ministries.
• Monitor and respond to social media interactions, ensuring timely engagement.
• Graphic Design:
• Design creative graphics for church events, social media, marketing materials, and sermon series.
• Ensure all visuals align with the church's brand and message.
• Email Communications:
• Oversee the creation and distribution of church-wide emails, including newsletters, event reminders, and ministry updates.
• Manage email list segmentation and ensure effective communication with various groups within the church.
• Internal & External Communication:
• Develop and execute communication strategies that promote church activities, mission, and outreach programs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all communication-related inquiries.
• Collaboration & Coordination:
• Work closely with church leadership and ministry teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
• Collaborate with the staff and volunteers to gather content and highlight church activities and ministry successes.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven experience in digital media, graphic design, website management, and social media platforms.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools.
• Experience with website management platforms (WordPress, Wix, or others) and email marketing software (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A heart for ministry and a passion for spreading the gospel through creative communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in church communications or non-profit organizations is a plus.

• Maintain church membership with Lake Church.
• Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer and meditation.
• Maintain proper priorities in your home and be a spiritual influence on your spouse and children, if married.
