POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Technician

General Overview of Position: (See also Employee Policy Manual Page E-4 Item 3.0)

Maintenance is responsible for the repairs and services of equipment, and for the painting process required for building maintenance.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Maintenance must have the skills and ability to perform the functions and demands of this position.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

· Perform work necessary for maintenance and preventive maintenance of all equipment.

· Use skills in Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry, and General Maintenance to repair or replace issues around church needing addressed.

· Use eSpace Software to obtain work order assignments. Complete work orders.

· Monitor mechanical equipment – air and heat units.

· Replace or repair damaged or broken furniture, fixtures, playground equipment, parking area, walk, and any other equipment.

· Conduct preventive inspections and make periodic reports to the Facilities Manager.

· Help assist with the upkeeping of church buildings.

· Keep informed of the church calendar on eSpace and see that maintenance work is coordinated with activities of church when possible.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

· Be sure to check light fixtures regularly for lights that are out. Repair as needed.

· Be knowledgeable in safety issues related to your job, Know your chemical SDS plan.

a. Maintain church membership with Lake Arlington Baptist Church.

b. Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer and meditation.

c. Maintain proper priorities in your home and be a spiritual influence on your spouse and children, if married.

d. Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.

e. Financially support the work of ministries of Lake Arlington Baptist Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of your gross income as a tithe offering. Maintain wise stewardship measures over the remaining 90%.

LIMITS OF AUTHORITY:

This position must follow the leadership of the Facilities Manager.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

• Morning shift
• Night shift
