We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic customer service representative / tech assistant. Experience working in the veterinary field is a plus but will train the right person. Must have excellent phone and customer service skills, being a “multitasking Ninja” is also a PLUS! Positive attitude and sense of humor required.
JOB DUTIES:
Client Services Representative/Tech Assistant
Overview of job: The CSR is the first and last face clients see when visiting our clinic. They should have a welcoming as well as calm persona. This role requires emotional intelligence in order to effectively respond to a variety of situations ranging from routine to emergency to euthanasia. Multi-tasking is an important skill to have as we can experience high volume of calls as well as in-person inquiries. Having a working knowledge of hospital services and general veterinary practices, is also a plus!
Responsibilities not limited to but including:
- Greet clients (and patients), check in appointments, notify necessary personnel
- Work patiently with distressed, frustrated or disgruntled clients
- Maintain communication between clients and care team
- Answer phone calls and other forms of communication (text, fax, email) and return communications; screen for the nature of the call and schedule accordingly
- Process multiple forms of payment and balance end-of-day close with accuracy
Assistant duties not limited to but including:
· Animal restraint, vitals, and fear free technique (or willing to learn)
· Advocate for patients and clients and educate them on our protocols and their pet
· Ability to learn technical skills such as administer injections and phlebotomy
· Become versed in our laboratory and pharmacy protocols
· Advancement in other areas is available when the opportunity arises.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer basics: typing, email etiquette, Microsoft office, ability to learn new programs as necessary
- Some animal handling
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, stretch and lift up to 30 lbs. 30 hours per week
Starting wage DOE.
30 Hours per week
Medical/Vision/Dental/Retirement available after probationary period.

Salary: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- 10 hour shifts
