What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Administrator position at Lake County Board of Commissioners?
The Project Administrator is responsible for the effective and efficient oversight of project management for sanitary, landfill and water projects.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in capital improvement plan. Draft memos, executing consultant agreements. Coordinate with consultants for project design.
- Scheduling meetings, adhering to deadlines, communicating project status with consultants, prepare notes during meetings, keeping track of project documents and contract books for each project and maintaining the GIS Project layer.
- Maintain project schedule to adhere to deadlines.
- Prepare and execute contract books.
- Review pay releases during construction and forward to proper personnel for approval. Review and/or create change orders and forward to proper personnel for approval.
- Verify as built drawings received, bid sets filed and projects sent to permanent record. Review final project documentation.
- Coordinate and review non-county project plan review with LCDU rules and regulations through approval.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a high school diploma/GED and a valid Ohio driver's license, or state ID.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Applicants should be knowledgeable in clearly communicating project status with Consultants. Applicant should have the ability to keep track of project documents, contract books and schedules for each project, maintain the GIS Project layer, address and maintain construction documents, and ensure compliance with departmental rules and regulations. Applicants should be able to exercise independent judgment, have outstanding organizational skills, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, exhibit sound decision-making when faced with complex or unique situations, consistently deliver general customer service in a professional fashion, and display strong skills in verbal and written communication, organizational abilities, time management and analytical thinking.

Pay: $20.32 - $30.48 (Based on experience)
