Broadcast & Media Relations Internship
The Lake County Captains are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our production team as a Broadcast & Media Relations Intern. This position will provide hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of MiLB production. Interns will be an integral part of our game day experience, working closely with our Director of Broadcast and Director of Marketing to ensure a memorable and exciting atmosphere for fans.
Responsibilities :
- A key member of the Captain’s control room, operating replay, graphic, or cameras under the supervision of the Director of Broadcast and Director of Marketing.
- Assist in producing home game broadcasts from Classic Auto Group Park.
- Support live broadcasts with opportunities for play-by-play or color commentary during home games.
- Highlighting key moments in games and distributing to team in a timely manner.
- Assist in player interviews for feature stories and pre-game segments.
- Assist in writing game recaps and distributing them to media outlets.
- Assist in drafting and distributing press releases.
- Assist in preparing and distributing daily game notes, stats, lineups, and rosters to the members of the press.
- Assist in updating materials for media and staff.
- Assist in updating statistical archives, including milestones, team records, and historical data.
- Support the lead Broadcaster with various tasks.
- Perform tarp duties as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Broadcast, Director of Marketing or General Manager.
