Job Title: School Social Worker

Location: Supporting our programs within the districts
Summary:
The School Social Worker will provide a full range of services to students who need additional support. As a key member of the district support team, they will partner and collaborate with School Administrators, Special Education Directors, Guidance Counselors, and Teachers to develop and implement plans that provide specialized support for selected students throughout the course of the school year.

Education/Experience & Certification: Must possess a valid Social Work License form the State of Ohio (LSW/LISW). Must have a knowledge of the Medicaid billing systems and an understanding of the ISP process. Working knowledge of agencies and services in Lake and Geauga Counties is a plus.

Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently able to perform holds up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Peripheral vision. While performing the duties of their job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit; bend; twist; and squat. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Drug Testing: Must pass a 9 panel drug screen at time of hire and comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.
