What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Developer position at Lake County Forest Preserve District?
SUMMARY
The Lake County Forest Preserve District is currently seeking for a Junior Developer that will be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing and documenting custom software applications and scripts written for the District. This position will provide application support for end users including resolution of help desk tickets and training for custom software applications. Will perform tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching and sitting. Perform heavy lifting tasks up to 25 pounds.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications, programming, business information management, geographic information systems, engineering or related field. Three years of experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL relational database management systems (RDBMS). Three years of experience building web and console applications. Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, PowerShell, Python, and Bash languages. One year experience with REST services and HTTP request methods. Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software preferred. Must possess valid driver’s license.
