What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance Officer position at Lake County Juvenile Complex?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Conduct home and field visits to juveniles assigned to the Secure Detention Alternative Program
- Communicate effectively in person or via telephone to juveniles and parents assigned to the Secure Detention Alternative Program.
- Utilize internet based programs to monitor the movements of juveniles assigned to the Secure Detention Alternative Program
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community and school partners including law enforcement officers.
- Maintain Secure Detention equipment when necessary
- Respond to codes at the Juvenile Detention Center, per department SOP
- Be available to work various shifts as needed by the department
- Other duties assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
