Lake County Schools is currently seeking relief bus drivers for several of our bus lots. The Transportation Department is one of the most vital units in Lake County schools. With 351 caring employees, approximately 18,000 students are transported on 248 buses daily. Our drivers, monitors and staff make sure that our district's youngest members get transported to and from school safely. Lake County Schools is located less than an hour away from Orlando. We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join our team!
The hourly salary for this role has recently increased to a starting range of $17.00- $18.29!!!!
Don’t have a CDL? No problem!
We provide paid training to help you obtain a Class B CDL with passenger & school bus endorsement, plus a 40-hour training class to be DOE (Department of Education) certified in the State of Florida.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must attend and pass 40 hour bus drivers training class
- Must have an acceptable driving record for the past seven (7) years
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License with proper endorsement Driver's license
- Must pass annual dexterity test and physical exam
