Qualifications:
To obtain Paraprofessional Licensing ONE of the following options must be met:
- At least 19 years of age
- 1 of the Following:
- Associate's degree or higher
- 60 semester hours of coursework
- High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro
- High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Workkeys:
- Applied Mathematics/Applied Math — 4
- Reading for Information/Workplace Documents — 4
Cosmetology experience preferred.
Preference given to licensed cosmetology instructors.

Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the Cosmetology Program.
- Assist with lab check-offs in accordance with licensure.
- Oversee Cosmetology areas during instructional breaks.
- Assist instructors with keeping students on task and following all Tech Campus rules
- Monitor students running front desk when instructor is occupied with instruction or helping other students.
- Monitor students with clients. Guide students after client consultation and application of services when instructor is occupied with instruction or helping other students.
- Guide Students with job duties of Front Desk, Dispense, and Floor supervisor.
- Assist students with technical help when needed (instructor assisted)
- Sign off on student’s practice work
- Time clock assistance for students
- File room assistance
- Dispense assistance (i.e. inventory, stocking, straightening)
- Monitoring student breaks and instructor washroom breaks
- Make copies of all teaching/clinic materials
- Cover Cosmetology instructor break times
- Other Duties as assigned
Salary Range: Per the Union contract
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.68 - $32.01 per hour
