- Shifts: Mornings, afternoons, and evenings
- Starting Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour and a FREE YMCA Family membership
Requirements:
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
- May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, pool cleaning, snow removal, groundskeeping, and other related responsibilities.
- Ensure the Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area and equipment. May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, pool cleaning, painting, vacuuming, seasonal activities dealing with lawn care and snow removal, and general cleaning.
- Operate related motorized and non-motorized equipment.
- Record and report all needed repairs; repairs as directed.
- Ensure the buildings and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
- Replace soap, paper towels, and other supplies.
- Other duties as assigned by Property Manager.
- May set up furniture for events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Six months or more of related experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Ability to report and record maintenance requests.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Medium work. Exerting 50 pounds of force rarely, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- The worker may be subject to noise.
- Frequently subject to environmental conditions- heat and humidity both inside and outside. Ability to: stand, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching frequently throughout the work shift; occasionally ascends/ descends a ladder; walking on a variety of uneven surfaces and climbing stairs frequently; have visual acuity to determine safety and cleanliness of facility; receive information through sound as well as express through spoken word; read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents; frequently working with chemicals and cleaning supplies.
