What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor - Group Home - Flex / PRN position at Lake County?
- Evaluating, assessing and admitting clients.
- Conducts crisis intervention/evaluation/referral to persons in the community or who present themselves at the program. Secures hospitalization, if necessary.
- Prepares treatment plans with clients.
- Provides individual, group, and family counseling.
- Serves food to clients in residential programs, ADL's, and appointments as needed.
- Provides education and direction to clients, family members and/or significant others.
- Assists in facilitating transportation of clients.
- High school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience, or
- Associate’s degree in a related field
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Flex employees must work a minimum of 80 hours per calendar year; and be available to work one (1) fixed or floating holiday each year, if needed.
