Job Summary
A Community Support Associate (CSA) assists individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges, or those needing social support, helping them live more independently and engage in their communities by providing direct support and coaching in daily living skills, social interactions, and vocational training.
Responsibilities
Provide direct care to learners with varied needs, focusing on functional living skills, community access, and independent skill development.
- Uphold learner rights by promoting dignity, respect, and independence in all interactions.
- Participate in training sessions and ongoing education to enhance skills related to community care.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have a valid Kentucky driver's license and auto insurance
- Have one year of full-time experience working with people who have behavioral health disorders or co-occurring disorders
- Complete a training program when hired
