What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bone Health Liaison-Physician Services position at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital?
The Bone Health Liaison functions as a part of a multidisciplinary team as an advocate, interpreter, educator, and counselor for patients. The liaison works with orthopedic patients with a special emphasis on bone and musculoskeletal health, which includes direct management through utilization of approved protocols and procedures as well as appropriate medical consultation.
This position will be responsible for development and coordination of this program. The bone health liaison will be responsible for ensuring all patients with an osteo diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services, coordinating patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, and serving as a clinical resource with expertise in osteoporosis management. This position will act as a liaison for patients, families and health professionals. The position will serve as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for this unique patient population through clinical knowledge expertise, consultation, education, and research.

Current Registered Nurse or LPN Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.Orthopedic experience desired.
