What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Extern-Ext. Program-FT-7P position at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital?
Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The nurse extern performs all tasks under the supervision of a Registered nurse.
Required SkillsCurrent Registered Nurse Student in good standing within an accredited nursing program.
Works within the assigned parameters of the Nurse Extern Program Manual.
Certifications:1. Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
