**Job Summary:**
The Nursing Director at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Rehabilitation & Special Care Unit. This position involves managing staff relations, patient care quality, and compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering professional growth among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards.
- Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
- Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
- Determine and justify needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitor usage, and oversee proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Assess the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
- Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
- A current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
