What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Ther Cert-Cardio-PRN-(Vary) position at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital?
Examines patients with breathing-related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing. Consults with physicians to develop and implement a treatment plan for the patient. Performs physiotherapy and other treatments and teaches patients to use medications.
Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma/GED or Associates in Science required.
Required LicensesRespiratory Therapist
• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
Minimum Work Experience• Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred.
Required SkillsCertifications:• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date• Current American Heart Association PALS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.• Current NRP certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
