Qualifications and Requirements
To apply, you should have a current state RN license or a current RN licensure with a multistate compact state and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
- Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
About Our Department
- 25 bed unit with private rooms
- All patients are on telemetry monitor and being monitored on the unit.
- 5:1 Patient Ratio
- ADT Charge Nurse- assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Team nursing model consisting of 2 RN's and 5 LPN
- Fast-paced environment and high patient turnover.
- Patient population consist of patients with heart history and surgery patients post heart cath.
