Job Title: Clinical Auditor - RN
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Registered Nurse to conduct routine chart audits, communicate effectively with departments, and coordinate outside audits. As a key expert in reimbursement functions, you will analyze data, identify problematic areas, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine chart audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records
- Communicate audit results and recommendations to department heads and Administration through reporting, email, and meetings
- Coordinate outside audits and serve as an expert in charge of reimbursement functions
Requirements
Registered Nurse Licensure: Current licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky or a multistate compact status is required.
Certification:
- Maintenance of annual membership with the American Association of Clinical Coders & Auditors (AACCA)
- Successful re-certification through the American Association of Clinical Coders & Auditors (AACCA) every 2 years
Skill Requirements:
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with stressful environments and ability to take appropriate action
Language Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Minimum Work Experience:
- Two years experience in insurance office or physician's office
- Three years general office experience
