Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.

Additional requirements include:

Certification & Skills:

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain withing 90 days after hire date
• Current American Heart Association NRP certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date
• Current American Heart Association PALS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date
• Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Language skills - Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Department/Unit Summary

Pediatric unit has:

• 8 patient beds
• 12-hour shift  - 0630 1830 report time
