The Lake Erie Crushers are a professional baseball team that are a member of the Frontier League, a “Partner League” of Major League Baseball.
The Crushers established in 2009 are based in Avon, Ohio and their home stadium is Lake Erie Crushers Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000. Including 11 suites, four person terrace tables, berm seating, picnic and patio areas for group outings. The stadium has new artificial turf, concession stands, team shop, state of the art sound system and new video board. Avon is 18 miles west of Cleveland, Ohio and part of the Cleveland metropolitan area.
The Role
The Crushers have an opening for a Manager of Special Events that will be responsible for creating/implementing non game day events.
The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, in the mindset to enhance the fan experience and drive overall revenue. Reporting to team President.

Responsibilities:
-Responsible for creating and implementing events for the team and ballpark.
-Create and develop annual staple events.
-Creating annual revenue targets, business plan and budgets.
-Develop and monitor KPI's to measure success.
-Proactively solicit new business by making sales calls/ presentations.
-Negotiate rental agreements.
-Conduct research on event trends with in the industry.
-Hire and train interns.
-Coordinate communication throughout the organization.
-Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
-Bachelor's degree
-one to three(1-3) years of experience
-operations experience a plus
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Strong computer skills
-Strong motivation skills and a self starter
-Must be able to stand for long periods of time
-Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
