Job Title: Supervisor - Ballpark Usher & Ticket Takers

Pay Rate: $14/hr
Postion Overview:
The Supervisor - Ballpark Usher & Ticket Takers is responsible for managing and leading both the ushering team and ticket takers during events at the ballpark. This position ensures a seamless experience for attendees by overseeing the guest services process from entry to seating, maintaining crowd control, addressing guest inquiries, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all visitors. The supervisor will guide the team in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that all ballpark policies are adhered to, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision & Leadership:
- Lead, train, and motivate ushers and ticket takers to provide high-quality customer service.
- Assign and delegate duties to ushers and ticket takers, ensuring all areas are covered and operations run smoothly.
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching and feedback as necessary to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-event briefings with staff to review event protocols, safety procedures, and customer service expectations.
Guest Experience:
- Oversee the entry process by ensuring ticket takers efficiently verify and scan tickets while assisting guests as needed.
- Ensure ushers are promptly directing guests to their seats, amenities, and providing event information.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a friendly and professional manner, resolving issues promptly.
- Foster a positive guest experience by ensuring all team members provide courteous and helpful service.
Ticketing & Entry Operations:
- Ensure ticket takers are following proper scanning and entry protocols, including verifying tickets, wristbands, or credentials.
- Monitor the flow of guests entering the ballpark, maintaining order and minimizing wait times.
- Assist ticket takers with troubleshooting issues such as invalid tickets or access problems.
Safety & Security:
- Monitor crowds and ensure all ushers and ticket takers are vigilant regarding guest behavior and safety.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to security staff immediately.
- Assist in emergency situations and ensure that staff follows procedures for evacuation or crowd control when necessary.
Event Coordination:
- Coordinate with other departments (security, concessions, and event operations) to ensure smooth execution of events.
- Supervise ushering and ticketing staff to ensure adequate coverage of gates, entry points, and seating sections.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of ushering and ticketing areas before and after events.
Communication:
- Keep the Stadium Operations Manager informed of any staffing issues, guest concerns, or incidents during events.
- Communicate any changes in event schedules, special announcements, or critical information to the team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, event coordination, or supervisory role is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a team effectively while providing guidance and support.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and move around the ballpark for long periods of time.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse group of people.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
