- Responsibilities
The 2nd Shift General Laborer is responsible for safe and efficient work during high speed cigarette or cigar manufacturing.
- Job Duties
- Accurately fill out and maintain production paperwork.
- Load materials to be processed by making machines.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs occasionally.
- Safely operate powered pallet jack.
- Correctly mark and label finished products according to established standards.
- Pack out finished cases with correct amount of product.
- Weigh finished product and notify operators if problem arises.
- Load finished products on pallets.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Production Supervisor or Secondary Manager.
- Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic mathematical, written and verbal skills.
- Must be able to stand for 10 hour shift.
- Strong safety orientation required.
- Have at least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment a plus.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Preferred tobacco manufacturing experience a plus.
