Scout Aquatics Lead Age Group Swim Coach (Ages 6-12)

Lake Forest High School is seeking a Scout Aquatics Lead Age Group Swim Coach (Ages 6-12).

Description: Scout Aquatics is a Community Educational Program out of Lake Forest High School and is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lead Age Group Coach to guide and support athletes in our 6-12 age groups. This position offers the opportunity to positively impact swimmer development, manage dynamic training sessions, and contribute to a strong, positive team culture.We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about swimming, athlete development, and fostering a fun yet competitive environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, write, and lead daily training sessions for age group swimmers aged 6-12
• Assist with other training groups as needed
• Attend and support all assigned practices and swim meets and complete meet entries
• Focus on technical development and cultivating strong fundamentals for swimmers of all levels
• Collaborate with staff and maintain positive relationships with swimmers, families, and team leadership
• Ensure adherence to team goals and standards while promoting a safe and inclusive training environment
• Maintain evening and weekend availability, including travel for meets as necessary

Qualifications:

• 2 years of coaching experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of competitive swimming and stroke mechanics
• Enthusiastic, motivated personality with a strong ability to communicate and inspire
• Ability to lead by example as a positive role model
• Full certification as a non-athlete Coach of USA Swimming

Salary and Benefits:

• $20.00 - $24.00/Hour
• Contribution to the Illinois Municipal Fund (IMRF) (pension system)
• No additional benefits are associated with this position.
