The coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading baseball activities for players of various skill levels in a recreational setting. The coach will provide instruction, develop players' skills, and foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate training programs and practice sessions to improve players' baseball skills, including hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running.
- Organize and conduct regular team practices and manage team schedules for games and tournaments.
- Instruct players on the rules and strategies of baseball and promote sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages all players to participate and enjoy the sport.
- Evaluate players' performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about team schedules, expectations, and any important information.
- Ensure the safety of all players during practices and games and have knowledge of basic first-aid procedures.
- Supervise assistant coaches and volunteers as needed.
- Maintain and inventory team equipment and report any maintenance or replacement needs.
- Previous coaching experience in baseball, preferably in a recreational or youth setting.
- Knowledge of baseball rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and parents.
- Ability to motivate and inspire players to develop their skills and enjoy the sport.
- This position may require working evenings and weekends to accommodate practice and game schedules.
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Salary : $20 - $25
