Job Description
The Registered Nurse PRE-OP/PACU will be responsible for implementing the Post Anesthesia Care record, nursing care plan and the assimilation of the patient's hospital record Lake Granbury Medical Center and Ambulatory Surgery Center. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, good organization habits, and the ability to adapt to change quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
- Continually evaluate the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
- Assist the anesthesia physicians with regional nerve blocks as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Currently certified as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Two (2) years of bedside experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Current BCLS.
- Must obtain ACLS, PALS, and NIH stroke certification within 3 months of hire date.
