What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Clerk - Full Time position at Lake Granbury Medical Center?
The scheduling clerk is expected to schedule patients for surgery, coordinate operating rooms, schedules of surgeons, and assistants needed for the procedure. The scheduling clerk gathers and records financial and insurance information. The scheduling clerk distributes pre- and post-operative information to patients, relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks. The scheduling clerk works under general supervision and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. They typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Education: High school diploma or its equivalent
Experience: 0-2 years of related experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
