What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp - Office Staff position at Lake Greeley Camp?
Lake Greeley Camp is a coed, overnight summer camp for children between the ages of 6-15. Residing on over 250 acres, the camp is located in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains approximately 2 hours from New York City. Warm and inviting, Lake Greeley Camp welcome children from across the United States as well as from around the world to create a diverse and exciting community. A daily program with over 60 daily activities provides campers with the opportunity to pursue their individual interests and progress at their own pace.
Responsibilities
Applicants must be individuals with high moral character, exhibit a strong work ethic, act as a positive role model, and possess the ability to provide constant supervision and mature guidance of campers and staff members.
Office staff members fulfill a variety of administrative duties in operating the camp office. These responsibilities include:
- Answering the phones.
- Forwarding messages to the appropriate staff member.
- Sorts and distributes mail and packages.
- Miscellaneous administrative duties.
- Keeps the camp time schedule.
- Maintain a neat, clean and orderly activity site.
- CPR/First Aid recommended.
- Pass a background check and provide references.
- Lake Greeley Camp is a non-smoking camp.
Office staff are a part of our Senior Staff in camp. As Senior Staff, you are overseeing the administrative operations of the camp and also taking part in evening activities and special events that are run during the summer. Senior Staff members have their own living accommodations and do not live in cabins with campers.
